Have you had luck making friends on Grindr?

Has anyone been able to make new friends on Grindr? For me guys either wanna bang or not interested at all even though i clearly say that Im looking for just friends. I have met some guys who said they’re looking for friends too but when we met they made moves which I turned down and they got offended. And for the ones that I didn’t turn down well we did the deed and ended up as hookup buddies.

But I’m having such a hard time making genuine friendships. This is my only way of finding other gay man and it’s very frustrating.
