Anyone know why so many of these green street storm drains are being built?

Maybe I’m just being a Karen but there has been 7 built within a block and half of my home. All unfinished and the construction is so obnoxious. They’ve cut down trees to do it!

We don’t have money for basic potholes how do we have the money for this?

And there has been construction in my neighborhood for two years because of it. Parking, driving through my neighborhood, sleeping in, walking my dog has become difficult with no end in sight.

Anyone know why so many in such a small radius and is this the plan for the whole city? Or just in certain areas? Just hoping someone has more info than the basic website that talks about the general info about the “green streets” program.
