Is surgery the best option?

MRI shows L4-L5 facet synovial cyst along with arthropothy and hypertrophy as well as mild disc bulges on L2-L3 and L3-L4 along with an annular fissure and arthrpothy on that one.

I'm still in my 50s but a cousin who worked in a doctor's office told me you would usually only see results like that on an 80 year old.

All I know is this has gone on 3 months, it hurts like the dickens waking up, getting out of a car or climbing stairs and I count down for the time I can take next dose of naproxen and cylclobenzaprine although there are some days I feel nothing. But when it acts up, the pain is 10/10.

Would a steroid injection be the next step?
