Why not get an ADR?

If I have 2 ruptured degenerative discs in my lumbar spine, and I’m a young (30) otherwise healthy active individual (no other spine issues seen on imaging), why wouldn’t I want to undergo a x2 Artificial Disc Replacement surgery?

From what Im told and read with my current spine situation I’ll never return to doing high impact activities (running, lifting, snowboarding, yard work, etc) without increased risk of further spine deterioration.

But from what I’ve watched and read about with patients post-ADR a lot of them are able to return various high impact activities.

Curious of other people’s thoughts. Thank you.
