Voice chat bans are going overboard
I was recently voice chat banned. I had a friend who was voice chat banned last night and he wasn't talking to anyone besides me because his dog just died.
I do talk vulgar but I don't use extreme insults like the ones we all know people do in COD games. The ban felt really random. As if someone was mad at me reported me for everything and because my friends and I talk with cuss words to each other I was voice chat banned.
When you're chat banned you can't whisper to anyone, talk in a game lobby, or in a private lobby. So you just create a discord with your friends. It's whatever.
This just feels excessive. A blanket fix to that happens to cause collateral damage to those that don't engage in the racist/super derogatory remarks, but enjoy COD's past free expression history.
Idk thoughts?
(NOTE: this is still needed for those occasional people who get picked up by AI or reports that are toxic and sole purpose is to hurt people)
