State of the Slabbed Collection: Beginning of 2025.

As I typically do at the end of every year, I inventoried my full collection and took pictures of everything in group shots.

2024 was an interesting year for me. After a down year in 2023 with 16 acquisitions, I added 30 new coins to my slabbed holdings. 11 went into my fatty type set and NGC White holders group. Another 11 were fatties I liked but didn't beat out what I already owned in my set, and didn't want to let go for various reasons. One coin was added to the folly that is my attempt at making an all-gold CAC proof Franklin set. It wasn't even a gold CAC so that won't last. Six were rattlers added to my growing hoard. And the last was a toned Morgan that was a good deal.

I think 2025 will be a slower year. Probably less than 20 pieces added. I am going to rotate some stuff out of my collection that is not included in these photos, namely my CC GSAs, for additional funds. I need more than I have available now to chase some truly tough coins in fatties. I've been blown out on a few pieces here and there but I think the lessons have been learned and I'm ready to step up whenever opportunity comes around again.
