Combo feeding appreciation post

A bit embarrassed to admit, but when I was pregnant with my first I didn’t know combo feeding was a thing. I thought you had to choose between BFing and formula. My first ended up refusing to nurse at around 9 months, and I spent the next 3 months turning myself inside out trying to get enough EPing. I promised myself I was never doing that again.

Fast forward, and I’m now about 3 weeks into combo feeding my 5 month old and I am LOVING it. I truly feel like it’s the best of all worlds for me. I headed back into the office last month and I pump 2x a day there, but I don’t stress over every ounce. I’m not yelling at my husband over potentially “wasting” an ounce of breast milk if he pours too much into a bottle. My baby also had trouble “focusing” while nursing, so she was having some weight gain issues and it’s a huge relief to bottle feed for many of the feedings, while still nursing over night. Just really pleased this is where we are and appreciate resources like this for support!
