What superhero has recovered from the worst low points in the way they were written?
I know we talk a lot about cases like Hank Pym, where one low point in his characterization sets the tone for his character in a way that he's never quite gonna live down. But looking through that era of superhero comics, there's plenty of bizzare character moments from other superheroes that somehow don't end up defining those character in the same way Hank slapping Janet does.
That got me wondering- are there any really notable opposites of the Hank Pym situation? A situation where a character has had repeated strings of awful characterizations that just end up being outright ignored in modern continuity.
