Whiny males in HOFAS?

Don’t get me wrong I love strong female characters with their smart strategies and moves. But in HOFAS it seemed that the whole purpose of having male characters was to show how outstanding and clever Bryce is (spoiler:she is not) in comparison to stupid males.

Hunt: I worry, but I shouldn’t. I will blindly follow my mate, even though I had a very tragic past because of the same reason. Also I was created to boost her impossibly strong powers, but it doesn’t matter really. Btw have you seen the size of my d.ck?

Ruhn(oh boy I loved you in CC 1 and 2): I am so proud of my little sister, wait she hates all Fae and doesn’t care if they all die? Never mind. Have you seen my powerful and beautiful mate? I am gonna cry.

Ithan: I did everything wrong, I behave so stupid and love to complain about it, I have no experience, but ok, I can be new Prime because I drank an antidote

Rhysand: I am in this book to be hysterical and slowly approaching instead of winnowing and I now ask females to read their minds. Moreover I am here so Nesta can look cooler in comparison to me. Forget the image of the mighty and intelligent High Lord you know from ACOTAR.

Morven: we need to presume the bloodline of Fae. A Fae of a nobel family marries a disgraced mer? Completely fine with me. Even though I even refuse to talk to him

Flynn: I grew a tree

Baxian: well, I guess you don’t need me anymore, I’ll take care of Emile and scare some Fae (because we need that why?)

Einar, Under King, Morven, Prime: we are old and powerful, but it is so easy to kill us

Add more comments about “alphaholes” to it and this humiliation becomes unbearable. dying of cringe

Why can’t the book be about both about strong female and male characters? The battle could be so much more interesting with all the characters participating. Also all female scenes and characters were boosted with deus ex machina moves. Even the death of Jesiba happened just because she decided to do so.

I guess HOFAS would be much better divided into two books with proper time to build the story and use the potential of all the characters.
