Why Pay for Programming?
I'm curious to hear from individuals who pay for programming?
Does it provide value?
Do you stick to it and how do you track it? Does programming come with a tracking mechanism (a la BTWB)?
I see it from a gym standpoint, where maybe they want to save time and have found some good CrossFit methodology programming.
From the individual perspective though, from what I have seen what people are actually paying for, it seems the authors would falsely equate value with time domain - you paid, so here is a complex 40 metcon 4 times a week with heavy squats and a short metcon and a....
What happened to simple and effective, not having to constantly look at the white board to see what is to be done? What happened to constantly varied, movements AND time domain?
Not to mention, CrossFit has been giving the programming away or free for all these years.
So, to individuals who pay? What is your motivation? Does it get you closer to your goal? If it is to be competitive, do you also have a coach? If yes, why aren't they building a program? If no, why not?
