Republicans, What If?

I guess I will post here again because this sub seems to have a lot of people from both sides, and I feel like current activities in Washington could lead to economic collapse.

TL;DR - Keep an open mind and do your due diligence in monitoring the facts of what the current administration is doing.

What if... Two innocent words, but when combined are the two scariest words in the English language. They also help us to be prepared for the future. So I ask you: What If?

I have been pretty outspoken again Trump and his allies. Love him or hate him let's not pretend like this isn't already a historic presidency. In two weeks Trump has amassed more power than any president before. To the point where now it would take extreme measures to stop him. So what if? What if he is complicite in turning our country into a Plutocracy? Or what if he wants what he thinks is best for our country, but is being used and manipulated with the rest of us? At this point, we would need the entire country to stand together to even have a chance of taking our country back. In my last post I did let out some frustration. To be fair, it was mostly against the current administration and not the voters. I also differentiate between republicans who mostly vote because of 1 or 2 issues, and MAGA, who seem to almost worship Trump. Though I only gave an honest assessment of my frustrated opinions, and did not call names or attack anyone, I still regret any further divide it may have caused. I am very frustrated with everyone who voted for Trump. But, I also know that in the end we mostly want the same things and we need everyone working together to achieve them. Life, Liberty, Happiness.

All I'm asking is that everyone in this country keep their minds open, their eyes open, and their ears open. If Republicans are willing to keep a discerning watch over our president, I will stop publicly speaking out against him. It's that simple. And by discerning I don't just mean watching Fox News. In my last post there were a lot of angry comments, calling me offensive and an "extremist neo liberal". It's funny because I have a history of being just as critical of the liberals than I have the conservatives. I've voted for plenty of republicans, because I do what we all should be doing and vote based on merit and the actual issues at hand. I know better than anyone how tedious and time consuming this can be. But, it's important. I have given to republican causes. In fact, before Mitch McConnell and Trump, I never made any public political comments. I was even pretty adamant and outspoken at the start of Trump's first term, telling everyone to give him a chance. As I was previously made fun of for saying, I have many republican friends, including my best friend who is my neighbor. I say this because I've tried to watch Fox News a number of times. I couldn't. I want the news to tell me facts. Every time I've tried to watch Fox it seems like they spent the whole time giving their opinions and attacking people. While I'm willing to accept that it's maybe not always like this, I don't need anyone to tell me what I should think. I'm capable of forming my own thoughts and opinions and so are all of you. Either just give me the facts without a twist, or I don't trust it. So, take some time and google some stuff yourselves. Look at what's being done in Washington every day and verify everything. It's your duty. You cannot just light a fuse and walk away, for you are in the blast radius the same as all of us. If a blast takes out our country you will be taken out with it.

Currently, Trump is dismantling everything. While some may think this is a good thing, what if it's not? What if it's the destruction of our country? What can we do? Currently, Elon Musk has unrestricted and unmonitored access to our entire Treasury, read AND write. Does that not terrify everyone? A foreign citizen with ALL of our information? With ALL of our money? What if he decides to send it all to other countries, or the ultra rich, or himself? What can you do? He's already recruiting top tech experts to help him. So, I don't even trust that government employees would be able to see everything he has done, and if they would it could take years. And while it may be quicker to just knock a building down, Trump could be making modifications without just destroying everything. When you just knock a building down you risk crushing everyone underneath it. These changes being made are so extreme and so severe that if they turn out to be a bad thing, the damage could take decades to recover from. So, what if the sweeping changes he's making are destroying our country? He has the House, the Senate, the DOJ, and the Supreme Court. Who will stop him?

You may think this is all an overreaction and conspiracy theories, but what if? Look at Russia and China. Do you think they ever thought they'd end up with the countries they have? They're pretty much being controlled by dictators, and many suspect an Oligarchy actually runs the countries. It happened to them. What if we're next? What will your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and so on think? They'll wonder how you allowed this to happen. How not only did you not stop it, but you voted for it. I always hated learning about the civil war. I couldn't understand how it could happen. Now it's becoming more clear. But this would be so much worse... We'd be killing each other over lies and misinformation. Make no mistake, we're being lied to. Either one side, or both. The more we fight with each other the further away we get from ever taking our country back from the super-rich. The more divided we become the further we are from getting money out of our government and politics. Yes, we have needed a revolution for a long time, but we need one for the people, not to give more power to those that already have just about all of it. What if that is what's happening as you read this? I understand what you want. You want to unravel the deep state. You want to end government corruption. You want change. What if we're only trading one evil for a greater evil? What if the current admin IS the deep state?

Democrats have historically flip flopped constantly. Trump and RFK contradict themselves multiple times a day. RFK talks about vaccines being good and how he's fine with them. He has literally said that if he could invent a time machine the 1 thing he would go back and change is ever getting a vaccine. Kash Patel has written a children's book proclaiming Trump to be king of our country. Love or hate Trump, you must admit that indoctrinating our young children is wrong and dangerous. And Trump... I don't know that I've ever seen a politician contradict themselves more. He is constantly fighting against things he put in place during his first term. At the time he called them the best policies ever made. Now he calls them the worst policies ever made. The man compared himself to Jesus Christ. As a Christian, that's all I need to never be able to support him. But in addition to him dismantling our country, he has rolled back dozens of environmental and animal protections already. I will admit that Biden and Harris's environmental initiatives were a little extreme. I think they had the right mindset, but the policies didn't seem to have the most sound science behind them. Like what good is it for the environment to replace a perfectly good appliance in working order with a more efficient one? Still, if you've been following the science at all you know that things are getting dire and we need to try. What if Trump is wrong? The environment trumps all, even Trump. Without a safe habitable planet, nothing else matters. Guns, abortion, citizenship, all meaningless without a planet to live on. We can do everything to preserve the planet now, or we can ruin it and have no options to do anything to save it. What if we wait until it's too late? He has also terminated hundreds of FBI employees, and more might follow. That is extremely dangerous. I'm sure if catastrophe follows it will continue to be blamed on DEI, without any evidence. Let me ask you this... Do you support 100% of everything Trump is doing? I've never supported 100% of anything either side is doing. If I did, I'd start to wonder if I've been brainwashed.

During Trump's term some of you blamed nothing on Trump. During Biden's term some of you blamed nothing on Trump. So during Trump's term you can't blame everything on Biden. Hold our leaders responsible. Educate yourselves. And before I hear more of it, yes, I'm aware that I rant. But I also don't go to social media hoping to make a snarky comment in hopes that I get a few upvotes. My worth is worth more than that and yours should be too. So to those that say "TL;Dr" thinking it's funny, it's been done already. If you can't spend 10 minutes reading something for yourself and your country, our future isn't looking good. For those that responded to my last post saying "stop crying and take the L", if you believe that this is about winning and losing then we have a lot of work to do. Celebrate a victory if you wish. But, if I lose so do you. This is everyone's country. I don't care about parties. They were created to divide us and keep our attention off of the real threat. Trump can be president all he wants and if he does good things I'll absolutely support him. No, this isn't about wins and losses, this is about the future of our country. If I'm wrong, I would be thrilled. But what if I'm right? It could be the end of a free America while we stand by and watch. Heck, there have even been hundreds of movies showing us exactly what future we could be watching unfold. When we reach that point, it will be too late and there will be nothing we can do. The mega-rich are coming for you. They're coming for your money, democrats and republicans, liberal and conservative. Ask yourself why. Why would they need your money when they already have too much to ever spend? Why do they want more when they have more than 99.9999999% of the world? There's only 1 reason. Once they have it all they will literally run the world. You will be their slaves for all intents and purposes. They will be in control. Will you let it happen?

Keep your mind OPEN! That is all I ask. And of like minded individuals, I ask that you back off. Allow the good in our country to show through? Otherwise, what's the point? We cannot get corruption out of our politics and government and stop our country from being sold without them. I know some are too far gone, but there are plenty of reasonable intelligent conservative out there that will help us fight for our freedom.
