Do you like your job

Incoming M1 at a DO school and deciding between FM and EM. Leaning towards EM because I genuinely feel like I would enjoy the work and environment more. But when EVERYONE says they hate it and complains, I find myself thinking why I would be any different.

The number 1 downside for me is the constant shift time changes and the messed up circadian rhythm. It's one thing if it's occasional, it's another thing if it's constantly happening and will continue to happen throughout the entirety of the career. I also don't like how poor the job market looks. I would like to be able to chose where I live and then find a job.

So, is it really that bad? If so, why do people keep going into it?
