Former EMTs/medics gone EM docs, did other specialties interest you in medical school?

Some of the best advice I got from working with EM and trauma docs was to keep an open mind during clinicals. I know I have to give every rotation and honest chance/effort. I'm starting them in 6 months (and my EM rotation won't even be until 4th year), but I keep finding myself wanting to shadow EM and be in the emergency department. I feel like I'm falling for familiarity.

I shadowed other specialities like ENT and NSGY, and they're fascinating in their own right, and I've really enjoyed preclinical blocks like neuro, psych, and cardio, but man I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss EMS & ER teching every now and then. So I guess my question is, did y'all like other specialities as much as EM, and what ultimately kept you coming back to EM? Thanks in advance
