Area 70 probing the parents and grandparents of all less active members and non members.

I went to check in on my grandparents yesterday, second time during the week. And they could not stop talking about the area seventy whom cam and visited with them yesterday for about an hour.

Naturally I inquired to see if I could get the whole story on the visit, and it turns out that the area seventy and his spouse have been visiting “highly faithful members” which just translates to steady tithe payers.

The conversation with the seventy changed to how my grandparents have so many children and grand children and great grandchildren and how literally all but one child and two grandchildren have left the church.

My grandfather tried to defend him self by telling the seventy that all his family is just “dry Mormons” when in fact we are all exmo and have all had our records removed.

My grandfather was then admonished to get his house in order and 41 individuals back to church.

The seventy then changed the subject and started talking about a large family vacation that he would be taking with his entire family to go fishing in Alaska.

They are really freaking out about the hemorrhaging membership and loss of tithes.
