Any long-term experience with foamy urine here?

Hey guys,

I have scanned the forum and found that I probably fit into the group of people where everything is ok.

Almost a year has passed since I first started noticing foam (32M). I have consulted with a few doctors and completed two 24h tests which came back negative (e.g., 0.08, where the limit is 0.15). Will do another test in a month or so.

From what I could tell, one redditor recently summed up what could be happening

Some people just have a little more protein in urine than others. This is what causes the foamy urine. A common misconception is that foamy urine is caused by tons of protein leaking into the urine but in reality even just a small amount is enough to cause it to foam up. I believe that if someone of us does a 24hour urine collection will get a total protein of lets say 100mg (still within normal range) while a guy without foam at all might get 50mg or lower. We are somehow on the edges of what is normal.

My concern is - what are the long-term developments of this state? For example, if I had 0.03 or below a few years ago (before foam started appearing) and am now at 0.08, should I expect this to develop into 0.15 and above over the coming years?

Are there any redditors here that have had this state change (appearance of foamy urine) that persists for many years without further change? How many years?
