Management/Survival Games like Citizen Sleeper
To clarify — I’m interested in games in those genres where the progression is less real time and more ‘certain amount of actions per day’. For anyone who hasn’t played it, in Citizen Sleeper, you roll a set of dice and each die can be used to complete an action (higher rolls get better results). When all your actions are complete, you have to end the day. Your character’s body condition goes down each day, so you have to take care of it, and some tasks you have to finish in a certain number of days.
I’m looking for games where the progression is more ‘a certain number of tasks per day’ vs an in-game clock that moves as you play, such as Spiritfarer, Stardew Valley, etc. (Stardew Valley stressed me out the first time I tried to play.) I don’t want a timer that moves as I watch it, management/survival wise, I want a limited amount I can do each in-game day kind of thing.
I hope that makes sense?
RNG isn’t necessary, though enjoyed, and bonus points for good plots/storylines/characters, because I love a good story, as well as for games where I don’t have to walk around and just get to select things.
Not sure how common this is, but thank you.
