Russian Sage

Hey r/Gardening,

I got two Lacey Blue/Russian Sage from the nursery today to place outside my window in hopes to help deter mosquitoes from entering. Theres plenty of sunlight. Will these plants help? Or are there more effective plants out there to keep away the blood sucking creatures? I live in San Francisco so mosquito are usually not a problem until the hot late summer/early fall nights.
