CMG Guitars Ashlee
CMG stands for Chris Mitchell Guitars out of Statesboro, Georgia. I ran into Chris back in July 2011, when I found a Les Paul copy online he was going to be importing into the U.S. from China. I was to get the first one sold. I paid for it too.
That didn't happen because Gibson (once again) found out about it, probably the same way I did and stopped it from happening. 50 guitars arrived at Customs in early December and were seized. He never got them. A total loss.
This guitar was the result of that fiasco. A U.S. handmade variation on the Les Paul.
Features are solid maple top with natural binding that is created by masking off the top from the side to see the grain, as seen in the picture. A lower horn cut at the 22nd fret to give you better access up high on the neck, which he calls the "E Bend Cut" and, of course hand made.
