Torn between Ware and Stevenage

Hi all,

I’ve posted here before regarding a possible move to Stevenage - I was mainly asking about how life is there etc.

A bit about my situation; I do currently work and live in London and I’m planning to move outside and commute twice a week to Kings Cross for work.

I’ve viewed two flats for renting in both Stevenage and Ware - while I like both (although the one in Stevenage is in Highcroft and I assume its a council building right? Would be great to get views on if that’s safe enough as well!) I’m torn about living in which one of them.

I don’t have a car so a train station is a must (the one in Ware is within walking distance)

I’m not much of an outgoing person (mainly the gym) but still like to go out every now and then.

I’ve visited both and I’d say Ware has less things going for it - in terms of activities, amenities etc - more of a village feel. Stevenage has more things to do etc, but opposite to Ware - not everything is within walking distance.

I’d like to hear your views from anyone living in either and let me know about the quality of life in both (I’m 25M btw!)
