Is the Indian accent a turn off?

I (M26) moved to the US a couple of years ago to pursue my master’s. I’ve been going on dates with American-born Indian-origin girls and things usually start off great. We text a lot, the conversation flows, and there seems to be real interest. But once we meet in person, I notice a shift in their expressions, like something changes.

My Hinge profile isn’t great - my pictures aren’t the best, and I might even look better in person than in my photos. Could it be that my Indian accent is throwing them off? Or is there something else at play here?
