How do you guys find good books?

Hello, I am really new to the horror literature space and started reading some horror novels that I pick up at random, but none of those are the genre of horror that I enjoy. I Started looking into Goodreads, but I feel like most of the top reviews of the books I am looking at feel the same.

Is there a website where I can either find reviewers of horror literature to see if there taste Aline with mine or a filtering website where I can search for book in a specific genre that show what strengths and weaknesses a book has?

I thought About looking into the Goodreads Awards for horror, but are those really a good representation for the best horror books that came out this year? I also started looking into other horror Literature awards, can you guy recommend me some good ones?

Furthermore, I am a slow reader and reading a book for me is a big commitment and I don't like being unsatisfied in the end after putting so much effort into consuming it.
