Older ASUS laptop (GL502VM) that I still use occasionally for some light gaming had been overheating again; went to repaste and discovered that all four of the mounting brackets for the CPU heatsink have snapped off.
CPU isn't making full tight contact with the heatsink. Anything I can do? Feels like a shame to put the old beast to rest. I see a couple people with similar problems tried epoxying the brackets back into place, but their updates suggest it didn't work super well.
