Software fix for HP Band & Olufsen Laptop

Whenever I close my laptop screen or put it to sleep, the screen rotates 90 degrees and I have to go into settings in order to change it back. This happens almost every time the computer is closed for more than a minute or so. In the settings, the rotation lock is permanently on. This does not help because the screen still rotates on its own. It changes from landscape to portrait. I have tried googling the issue but could not find any helpful answers.
