Something that made me smile today.
I've been at the local mall for moatof the day so far. Sitting down with a laptop, trying to get WiFi for Discord DnD RP.
Someone came up to me and said, "I like your stickers!" (As in, the stickers on my laptop. Many of them Pride stickers.) They showed me there phone screen for a second. I was able to catch that it was a message and that "NB" and "ally" were in it. Before I could fully process the interaction, I said "thank you" and they were on their way.
Maybe fifteen or twenty minutes later,a different person came up to me, handed me a penguin plushie from the nearby arcade, and said, "This is for you."
I was a bit flabbergasted and tried to ask what the occasion was, but they had already walked off, meeting up with the first person from before.
Is there a message to this? Maybe just, reaching out, letting people know they're not alone can make a world of difference. I know it certainly made my day better. Hang tight, family.
...I think I'll name him Martin.
