Will marvel rivals last?

Marvel Rivals is unequivocally a great game and i really enjoy it, but it concerns me how in almost every discussion about it i hear its a "Overwatch killer" whenever a game is called the "____ killer" it usually ends up dead in a matter of months if not weeks, do you think this game is here to stay or if it's just the current trend...?
