What motorcycle is this?

Just saw a motorcycle with a retro look but could not identify the make or model. It was shadow black, had a big 500 number on the side of the gas tank and a smaller x just below.

Who can identify it? It might be the motorcycle that my wife is trying to identify for some time, she liked it because it looked retro and not too tall.

Edit: it looked brand new. Had a led front light
