In what way is Aetherdrifts powercreep real?

Ive seen people say "the powercreep is real" for this set quite a few times and I genuinely want to know in what way. For commander, this set is utter garbage. Or atleast it was till yesterday, didnt see any new leaks, but there were I think only 2 decent cards for EDH, all the others were niche at best. For modern I dont think there was anything gamechanging, especially not on the scale of MH3 and comparing it to BLB, OTJ and DSK I also dont think any of the cards seem to be absolutely insane for standard. But I can obviously wrong, I primarily play EDH and dont play the others as often, so do you think thr powercreep is real and if so, what cards are and why?

Just to clarify: I was talking about thr main set. That there are actually decent cards for EDH in the precons is definately not something I ever questioned.
