Giannis Antetokounmpo re-signs with the Milwaukee Bucks for 5 Years $228 million

Big victory for small markets. As a Hawks fan this makes me feel better about our chances of re-signing all of the young talent we have coming down the pipeline.

The team is definitely better than last year and I think now that they won’t have the cloud of contract negotiations over their heads they’ll play looser.

One big thing here is that they’ll be an attractive destination now that Giannis is there until 2025 (unless he forces his way out midway through his contract). Could certainly see some vet minimums coming their way over the next few off-seasons.

How long do we think their window is to compete? Obviously next season is likely make or break for Bud’s job, and then I think Jrue will start falling down in 3 or so years.
