Steve Fulop Does Not Have the Interest of suburbs/rural areas in NJ

Ill preface by saying I'm not TOO well educated on him and his policies, and am open to changing my mind if anyone has a convincing argument.
I have nothing against him personally, I think he does a fine job running jersey city and is focused on the issues that the government of urban areas should be focused on (transit, pedestrian safety, apartments & zoning, etc.).
However, he seems so focused on running for those issues which neglects the suburbs and rural areas (basically 80% of the landmass of NJ that doesn't care very much about many of those issues).
A shallow governor that prefers to take an anti-car and anti-highway stance is NOT what we need OVERALL.
That stance is more than acceptable for the cities: Newark, JC, Trenton, Paterson, Passaic - but is a delusional idea for most of the state where cars are a necessity.
I know most of the population is in those cities, but that's just a big "fuck you" to everyone else that lives in the other parts. Phil Murphy does a good job balancing both - I'm not so sure Fulop could do so.
All I ask is to try to remain civil in the comments - please... we're all neighbors here. No hard feelings no matter who you support.
