Should I plan a trip around a UK show?

My wife is from the UK originally but hasn’t been back since she was young. I’ve always wanted to visit and now I’m thinking maybe we go to one of the shows next year and plan a trip around that. Personally I’d love to go to one of the Manchester shows being that she has family there and I assume it will be the crowd with the biggest heart being that it’s their hometown. Or we go to Edinburgh (wife is from Aberdeen). But it’s still quite early to decide if we really want to go next year at that time. Or we can wait for a North America date but I’ve no desire to visit the purported stops really… we are in Canada (Vancouver) but will if it’s the only option. So my conundrum is should I just buy tickets to a UK show AND a North American date and resell depending on what we end up deciding?
