Neutral Clash

I am in the middle of redoing my living room and the colors look awful! We went with BM Mayonnaise on the ceiling because that is what we have in the rest of the house, but in the living room it clashes with the Designer White fireplace and the Magnolia Blanched walls. I am open to repainting the fireplace, but not the walls or ceiling. We need new carpet also and I have no idea how to bring it all together. The fireplace is white because it is such a dark room! Any suggestions?
