how do i find my money?

i was looking at some childhood things and i found my 1st birthday card. inside my grandpa wrote "we have opened a savings bank-book account (in my name) to start with $10. Well I'm 40 now and have no idea where that money is, he didn't list a bank or anything just the above. any ideas how to find it?
