What does it mean if people treat you like the dude from The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Like you're "weird" but at the same time "mysterious" and people find you endearing. But it's kind of infantilizing. But they also think you're smart and "deep" but they treat you like a baby and laugh at you and you can't tell if it's at or with you. But at the same time they divulge their secrets to you. This seems to be how people generally respond to me. I've never had any close friends. But I don't think people hate me.
