Goshdarnit, these cans have ruined me

Used to be into hifi when I was young, built a ridiculous car sound system back in the day. Got out of it, got used to sub par buds and car speakers for years.

I can hear the flaws, a recessed mid/vocal, a too wide soundstage at times, there are styles of music these excel at - looking at you Peter Gabriel and Steve Winwood and the 80's 8 track hifi nerdy musicians - but, I'm picking out bits of intentional recording I never did hear before. That little cow bell, the kick drum before a bass guitar growl, a background harmony that never did make it to my ears thru crappier drivers.

These M4s are a joy. I'm rediscovering music like never before. Glad y'all convinced me ❤️
