Coffe table help!!!

I haven’t been able to turn anything up in my searches so I’m a little confused if this is actually an issue or not. I used coffee tables as my sims bed side table because they have large lamps that are too high up when I use an end table. But because of this, my sim can’t get in bed. Is there anyway around this? I’m confused because they’re both 1 tile items beside the bed. Everything is snapped to the grid and fits as it should. Is it just something about how the game recognizes coffee tables?

If anyone has a fix for this pls lmk! His room looks much better with coffee tables by the bed and I don’t want to slide them out far enough for him to get in bed, then it would look weird.
