What do you like most about Solo travelling?
Yesterday we talked about what we dislike the most about solo traveling.
Today it's about the best things. What are the upsides?
After a year of solo travelling I have a few:
- Feeling of freedom: For me, I had the best times when I was just on the bike, or in the water, with the wind in my hair. Nobody next to me. Nothing to do. Nothing to worry about. Just sharing a moment between the universe and me. It felt like this is what life is about.
- More Flexibility: If I want to switch my plans from one day to another, I can. And I do. Sometimes it's nice to have a second opinion though.
- Adventure plus: I am free to make my own mistakes, I can be adventurous, test my limits, and nobody will stop me.
- Being more social: I found, that when we were traveling as a couple, it was harder to meet new people. Especially because my ex-gf wasn't keen on doing so. When I am solo, I meet new people daily. The same old "where are you from", "Where have you been?" can be tiring, but once in a while, you meet some awesome guys who make it all worth it.
