Please help identify an unearthed winning song / artist

Hello! I’m currently emotionally invested in a big old music mystery that a friend is trying to solve, so hopefully someone here can help.

From my friend:

Hi there,

I'm seeking a song that won a triple j unearthed competition many years ago. I'm thinking sometime between 2007 - 2011.

I know almost everything about the song except who wrote it and what it was called!

The competition awarded someone the chance to professionally record a demo they had uploaded to triple j unearthed - and this artist won and re-recorded their track.

The artist was (at the time) a female identifying, solo artist who lived in Canberra. I remember the original demo recording's instrumentation was piano, vocals and a little bit of trumpet. I think the professionally recorded version of it was similar. It was a super dreamy / kinda jazzy track.

The lyrics that I poorly remember are:

FIRST VERSE

You said you'd wake me up from sleep You said you'd wake me from my dreams I said I want to go somewhere ((there's more to this verse, but I cannot fully remember it))

OTHER VERSE LYRICS THAT I’M 80% SURE ARE CORRECT BUT I AM PROBABLY MIXING UP THE YOU'S AND I'S AND I CAN'T REMEMBER WHICH VERSE THEY ARE IN

I said I'm hanging up in space I said I'm churning through days and days You said I want to go somewhere

CHORUS Was I ever made for adventure Was I ever made for adventure Was I ever made for adventure Was I ever made, oh

FINAL REFRAIN/OUTRO Take me, somewhere Somewhere where, the nights are heavier and scented and Conversations are excited and I can stretch out and just know...

There are obviously more verses and lyrics, but I cannot remember them in any kind of meaningful way.

DOES ANYONE KNOW OR REMEMBER WHAT THIS SONG IS AND WHO WROTE IT?

I fell in love with it at the time, but I have struggled to find it since. I did re-discover it a few years after it was released (probably on unearthed) and remembered looking up the artist and it seemed like they had moved away from music making - which makes me think it's even less likely to be found or to exist on the internet somewhere.

Thanks for any leads :)
