So how you guys enjoying the super deluxe?

I gotta be honest, I'm REALLY disappointed. The new remaster is iffy, the demos sound real bad, the BBC Sessions and The Kitchen Tapes were already available before this, and the live stuff is okay, I guess. The first 4 tracks sound bad, and those were the ones I was looking forward to the most! (who could say no to Paperface and Thief?). Sadly, the ones that sound good are just the regular hits played they've played a million times over (minus Lullaby for Wayne and China Grove). I get that it's pretty cool Jason is on all of them, but that's really not enough for me to put ANOTHER live performance of The Sweater Song on my playlist.
It's not all bad, though! the rehearsal demos are cool (even though Just What I Needed was leaked years before today...), The Kitchen Tape transfer sounds better than what we used to have, we got two new BBC tracks, and the LMU sessions are peak!

But it's weird why they didn't include SO much other stuff. What about all the b-sides and their alternate edits? Why are the first two demo tapes not included? What about the DTFM version of Mykel and Carli? you're telling me they only had ONE Jason-era demo that was recorded that well? What about ANY live shows from AFTER The Blue Album released? Getting up and Leaving, and In The Garage (Reprise) would've been cool. I get that they need to save stuff for the 40th/50th, but c'mon, guys! I excepted the low quality tracks IN the 50th anniversary. Take a page outta the Green Day book! They released a 30th deluxe of Dookie last year, and it's GREAT. Two live albums, demos sound pretty good (plus there's SO man!), all the b-sides are re-released, and it's all in 192khz!!!

Sorry for rambling, and trust me when I tell you I'm a HUGE Weezer fan. I literally love all their songs except 2. I'm just pretty bummed they kinda got lazy on this release. What do you think? Are you gonna kill me cause I slandered The Blue Album? Do you agree? It would be nice to hear!
