WhatsApp Desktop lowers PC volume

Exactly what the title says. Starting a month or two ago, WhatsApp desktop has started to lower the volume of my entire PC. I've already checked the Windows settings and disabled volume suppression during voice calls, but it only happens with WhatsApp; not discord, skype, battle.net, or any other app has the same effect. I can't find any other settings with WhatsApp to change this, has anybody else had the same issue? Does anybody have any advice for how to stop this?
