Middle grade fantasy series about family of female witches who turn old and evil at a certain age

When I was a kid (maybe 2010-ish) I found a book series in a box sent by some friends about female witches with a curse over them that at a certain point they become ugly, bug-eyed, and generally unpleasant. Female character works to break that curse, succeeds eventually. If I remember correctly, the books were mostly pastel-ish solid colors with a cute fantasy design on each one. Probably published in 90s or early 2000s. English language, probably designated as middle grade but not entirely sure, certainly for young girls.
