First Wild Camping Experience
I will be taking on my first wild camping experience in June. I aim to do the full Cumbria Walk, however, I am looking to wild camp almost all of it. The aim is to do it in 5 days with at least three of those days wild camping.
I’ve never done a walk that far nor have I ever wild camped (I do have camping experience but all on official sites). I am looking for advice on what equipment I need to take with me and any personal recommendations. Besides the general hiking gear and a few extras of those. I have purchased the Phoxx ll V2, a 3 seasons Berghaus mummy sleeping bag.
I know I still need the below: Stove Food Utensils Pillow (I was thinking about using my down jacket?) Bigger bag
For the stove I was looking at OEX Heiro Solo Stove
For a bigger I was looking at Osprey as I suffer with a bad lower back sometimes causing me the inability to actually walk. I have heard great things about their zero gravity systems. I am also not sure what size, I thought 60/65?
I had also been looking into doing it in trail running shoes to easy the pain on my feet, is this recommended?
I appreciate this is a very broad question as a lot of this is personal preference but I appreciate your time reading this and any help you offer, thank you.
