Daily protein consumption requirement?

To build muscle, should I calculate the protein requirement as 0.7g/pound weight and then divide that among daily meals+ protein powder. For example, 143 lb * 0.7 g which gives 100gms. If I get 100 gms already from my daily meals do I need to take any more protein powder? Am I absorbing all the dietary protein that I am consuming, is my protein consumption sufficient for me? Or should I take protein powder? Thank you for your help, absolute newbie here. 37M 65 kg for reference.
