I work on tugboats, high stress environments at time grand mother just passed away, mother has cancer, father is dying from cancer also, about a week ago I was coming down the ICW headed to the east and I thought I was having a heart attack or something not sure but my chest had a constant tightness and my left arm went numb, as soon as I get to the dock I tie up the tugboat and go to the hospital. I get to the hospital they hook me up to a EKG, did blood work and x ray of my chest. Everything looked fine “what they said” was administered 1 mg of Ativan, didn’t help, next they gave me nitroglycerin, put it under my tongue, 45 seconds later my nurse walks out the room 15 seconds later I felt something wasn’t right blood pressure dropped so low I passed out in the hallway of the icu I wake up with a IV in my arm hooked back up to a EKG, constant blood pressure monitor every 5 minutes and they taped something to my finger not sure what it was guessing it was for my vitals? Gave me about 1500cc of fluid to flush out the nitroglycerin I’m guessing then they gave me .5mg of Xanax. Made my chest stop hurting a bit the numbness went away and they sent me home with a bottle of 20 0.5mg Xanax , next day I go to a doctors appointment and I told him the only way I felt better if I took 4 0.5mg of Xanax at once so he prescribed me 4mg daily , now I have 60 Xanax bars. I take as needed but it’s so consistent I may have to be on them for the rest of my life. I’ve never had something like this happen before figure I would share my story with you guys,
