I did an almost full eye check & my optometrist said with 95% certainty that I don't have keratoconus. I feel like I should be relieved, but I'm not, since I have weird color aberration that isn't explained by... anything (example: https://imgur.com/a/enohO4r). What do you all think? Second opinion?

23M Has anyone actually managed to fix vertical bilateral monocular diplopia, aka ghosting? + thoughts on astigmatism
This subreddit was created due to a flood of patient questions in various other eye-related subreddits. However, given that medical advice over the internet cannot be given without an exam, and that legal liability is tremendously high for telling someone "eh, it's probably nothing, don't worry," please understand that it is likely that many of your less pressing questions may not receive satisfactory answers. Online advice can never replace an actual medical examination.
Has anyone actually managed to fix vertical bilateral monocular diplopia, aka ghosting?
This is a forum for professional-level discussion between and amongst ophthalmologists and ophthalmology trainees. Optometrists, ophthalmic photographers, and other allied eyecare health professionals are welcome to join discussions as well. This is NOT a forum for questions about your own eye condition, or that of your relatives or friends. For those, try r/eyetriage (but even then, please contact your own ophthalmologist or optometrist, as medical advice without an exam is unethical).

When I slowly move my finger across a black background and look slightly away (so it's in my peripheral), I notice a faint silhouette moving behind it. I asked my friends and family, and some of them said that they see it too, though to varying degrees. So, my question is: do you see this too?
Please read the sidebar before posting and be kind to one another.
Do you see this silhouette/afterimage? When I slowly move my finger across a black background and look slightly away (so it's in my peripheral), I notice a faint silhouette moving behind it. Is this normal? I asked my friends and family, and they said they see it too, though to varying degrees.
