Recomandation for a grindy game

The reason I recommended Disgaea is because it is the most grindy JRPG I know. The grind IS the game itself. I know that a lot of people think the newer games aren't as good as the older ones, so look at Disgaea 1-4 potentially. I myself played the original Disgaea, and yea, it's CRAZY!!! It's SUPER difficult. I didn't ever beat it. There's this mechanic where you travel into your weapon and fight in it in order to make it stronger. It is the biggest grind fest I have ever played.
