AITA for reporting my guidance counselor?

Any update? Did you talk to your mom yet?

Oh sorry, I didn’t think about giving an update. I talked to my mom about it and she got really sad like I worried she would. She told me it wasn’t my fault though. She called my principal and she didn’t let me listen, but I my met my new counselor today so I can imagine how it went. I like her more I think. My mom also talked to her lawyer, which I didn’t even know we had, about the truancy thing and they said it shouldn’t be a problem apparently, so I want to trust that.

I’m so glad you were able to talk to her and get the situation resolved. She sounds like an amazing mom. Of course she feels sad that you were being treated this way - she expected your school to keep you safe and help you get the supports you need and they failed you.
